Hi FSA Nobles and friends,
Boy, our convention is in less than 15 days! This is
the third Official 1999 FSA Convention eNewsletter, if
you would like to see previous newsletters, we are now
keeping an archive on the Web home page. This is
probably the next to last pre-convention eNewsletter
(unless there are some last minute announcements). We
hope you have found the newsletters informative, we
really wanted to keep you updated on what the
convention officers are working on and provide you with
details that we hope will help you all have a great
1999 FSA Convention.
Registration and event forms are coming in very slowly,
organizers on this end are scratching their heads!
Please rattle the cage at your end, to see if some of
our brothers can accelerate their submissions.
You have received this message because you have either
signed our guest book at http://trowel.com/fsa99 , sent
me an email referring to the FSA Convention or you have
some connection with the 1999 FSA Convention. If you do
not wish to be on the email list for this newsletter,
please email me at mailto:garysch@trowel.com and ask to
be removed. If you have received this message from a
friend and wish to be added to the mail list, send me a
message to be added. If you know someone that should be
on our list, send me their name and email address and I
will add them.
You can help us by letting every Florida Shrine Temple
and Florida Noble you have contact with, know about our
Website. Please forward this announcement to any Noble
or friend of Florida Shriners that you think might be
interested. To be successful, we need EVERYONE to know
our Website is available. PLEASE HELP!
Don't forget, everyone that leaves a message in the
FSA99 Website Guestbook will be entered into a drawing
to win two FREE tickets to the President's Banquet at
the convention - that's a $65 value!!
Best regards,
Gary Schweinshaupt, Webmaster

PS This mailing is going out to 177 addresses. Fairly
impressive, I think, being as this is our first shot at
this Convention/Internet thing. As of today, the FSA99
Website has had 2,277 visitors and 69 people have left
messages in our guestbook.

NEWS
1999 Florida Shrine Association Convention
May 5 - 8, 1999
Sarasota, Florida
Housing Chairman Mort Steiger mailto:morger2@home.com
really could use more advanced information, it would
help the people at registration if all function tickets
could be purchased NOW! If you don't yet have the
registration/event forms you need, they are all
available at the FSA99 Website http://www.trowel.com
The Adobe Acrobat form is at
http://www.trowel.com/fsa99/eventord.pdf Maybe a brief
email to Mort indicating you are preparing to send a
function reservation would lessen anxieties at this
end.

As of last night's committee meeting, only one RV
reservation has been received!! If there will be more,
it would be very helpful to get the reservation form
sent in NOW! (The Campground Reservation form is
available right on the FSA99 Home Page). Also, only 24
golfers are registered!! Surely there will be more than
that - it is very difficult to get all the arrangements
made, not knowing what attendance will be. If you can
help at your end, please, I see large beads of sweat
starting to show on the foreheads of some of our
committee chairmen!

More maps have been added to the Website:
The City of Sarasota Detailed Map shows the FSA Parade
route and location in relationship to Sahib Temple.
The Bradenton/Manatee Community College detailed color
map shows the location of the Motor Corps Competition
Venue and Headquarters site.
I apologize for the size of these maps, but felt you
would like to see a detailed street map to help you
find the correct streets. Both maps are available in a
Web page and as an Adobe Acrobat file.
The FSA Market Place floor plan shows the location in
relation to Sahib Temple (right across the street). One
of the vendors (The Robin's Nest, Cocoa, Florida -
http://www.therobinsnest.com/ ) actually has a Website,
I have already contacted them via email about doing
some embroidery for my unit, they were very responsive.

and will send a message as soon as it goes on the air.
The FSA99 Website Guestbook continues to be quite
