Comments: Since graduation I lived
first in Tallahassee (2 yrs) and then in Avon Park (4 yrs) then Lake
Wales (18 yrs) and moved to WPB in 1983.
Before moving to WPB I was a
homemaker and then worked for the Polk County School Board for about 7
yrs. While living in Lake Wales I started doing watercolor paintings
(rustics--old buildings barns and such) and within 2 years was doing
one-woman shows. One of my paintings was purchased by a state senator
and was hanging in the state house in Tallahassee for many years--may
still be there as far as I know.
After I moved here I went into property
management and real estate eventually moving into residential
appraising. It is great work because I have control of my time and
don't really have a boss.
Here in WPB I have gotten into flying,
diving, sailing (crewed on a Morgan Out Islander for a couple of
summers) and in general just having a good time with a very active
social life. Have slowed down a bit in the past 2 or 3 years. I have
also done some traveling mainly in south and central America and
Mexico. Spent a lot of time in the Bahamas too, mainly sailing. Canada
has also been a favorite spot. I have been to Europe and plan on going
to Vienna in the spring to visit my niece who is in the university
there. I do some volunteer work with a local art center and also one
of the large live theaters here in WPB (get to see the shows free). I
would like to be included in the then and now photos and will send you
one as soon as I go to glamour shots Ha Ha...
