you updated on what the convention officers and

You can help us by letting us know what you need that
the Website is not giving you and by letting every
Florida Shrine Temple and Florida Noble you have
contact with, know about our Website. Please forward
this newsletter to any Noble or friend of Florida
Shriners that you think might be interested. To be
successful, we need EVERYONE to know our Website is
available. PLEASE HELP!
I have had a hard time getting our committees to
provide content for our first update for the 1999
Convention, so I'm doing this one myself :-)

May 5-8, 1999
The 1999 convention committee members are working
towards a successful convention. We have been meeting
on the third Monday of every month and things are
gradually coming together.
The list of hotels and motels
http://www.trowel.com/fsa99/hotels.htm has been
updated to show the temples that are staying in them,
number of rooms reserved by each temple and the
coordinates on the Website map. The maps has been
updated to show coordinates so you can tell where
venues are and all venues and locations of attractions
will have map coordinates so you can easily tell where
they are. Each hotel Website usually has an additional
detail map, to make it easy for you to find it. I will
probably put a simplified map of the area up, that will
be easier for you to print.
The Convention & RV Registration forms are up-to-date,
and you can use them now to submit to your respective
temple recorders. The links are near the top of the
home page.
The event registration form is linked on the master
schedule page

bottom of the page. You can make reservations for
breakfasts, luncheons, banquets and golf.
The master convention schedule of events has just been
updated, and will be pretty close to what you receive
in your registration packets -- but, it's available
RIGHT NOW on the Website. Most of the unit associations
also have their schedules posted, no need to wait until
you arrive in Sarasota to learn what's going on.
Don't forget to check out the "Helpful Web Links"

have loads of information about our beaches,
restaurants, museums, tourist attractions and more...
and don't forget about our great SHOPPING! I have just
added "Your Webmaster recommends..." section that lists
some of the shopping that the ladies will be interested
in, and will add more to this section soon.
Everyone here at Sahib Temple is looking forward to
this convention and will do everything we can to make
your stay enjoyable. If we can do anything for you,
send us email, all committees are listed on

them have email addresses, if they don't just send your

As things develop I plan to send more of these
eNewsletters so you will always be as up-to-date on
events here as we are. Please email this newsletter on
to every Florida Shriner and Lady that you know, and
ask them to help us get the word out.
Let's show them all how effective email and the Web can
be in helping to keep everyone informed about our 1999
Convention. Don't forget to visit the FSA99 Guestbook,
to see what other Nobles are interested in.
