After serveral years of attending Florida Shrine Association Conventions, my Lady and I have come to understand what many Shriners and their Ladies are looking for when they visit a convention city. On this page we will attempt to tell you what we think Sarasota offers for your interests. This is a work in process, so please come back every once in awhile to see if we have remembered something you should know about.
In Sarasota Comprehensive SunCoast area Web site providing Web links to all sorts of sites that can help you learn about our area, from Palmetto to the north, down to Englewood to the south.
Sarasota Herald-Tribune The local Sarasota newspaper, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, offers news from Charlotte, Manatee and Sarasota counties in text and pictures, along with daily reports on local business, health, entertainment, local sports and computing. Also includes a section on local SNN6 TV Channel.
Sarasota Magazine The region's monthly life-style magazine; On The Beach, the in-room magazine of the area's leading resorts and visitor accommodations; and The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall program book.

The City of Sarasota Still in the early stages of development, this site has all city departments represented, although most of them list only basic information. The city auditor and clerk's office has the most extensive material available. The clerk's office supplies most information now available. The goal is to make public access to city government much easier.
