At the 181st Florida Grand Lodge Communication held June 2, 2010, Ronald E. Baber was installed District Instructor of the 27th Masonic District.

Brother Baber was raised as a Master Mason March 26, 1988 in Manatee Lodge #31. Ron is a Past Master of his Lodge and also held the offices of Marshal, Senior Warden, Junior Warden, Senior Deacon, Junior Deacon, Chaplain, Tyler, and is currently the Lodge Instructor. He has served on five Grand Lodge Committees: Masonic Education, Lodge Officers Education, Masonic Renewal, Let Your Pennies Make Good Cents and Perpetual Membership.

Brother Baber has 25 years perfect attendance in his Kiwanis club. In Kiwanis, he has held the offices of Lt. Governor for Manatee County, Club President, Secretary, and is currently the Kiwanis Advisor to the Southeast High School Key Club. In 2009 he received the J. Walker Field Outstanding Kiwanis Advisor of the Year Award for the Florida District of Key Club International.

Ron and his wife Mary were married in Toto Village, Guam in the Mariana Islands 39 years ago. His wife Mary retired as the chief court reporter of the 12th Judicial Circuit which covers Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto counties after 37 years of service in 2009. Mary loves cooking and being with friends and family. Ron is an avid fly fisherman.
